Database Monitoring option in eZee FrontDesk and eZee POS Back Office 7.0

How to access:
When you want to reduce your database size you can do it from database monitoring:

1. Clear audit-trail: To clear audit trial data when database size gets increased
2. Shrink: Database size decreases especially for LDF file which is in SQL server data folder
3. Re-Index: It will reindex all records technically serialize in the database, it will help in the performance of data view

What is database authorization process in eZee Frontdesk 7.0?

The database authorization process is provided to control services of some modules in testing mode when we restore client backup on our software.

Database Authorization process locks database from activating certain sensitive operation. This is to ensure, these operations are not performed accidentally during database testing.

It is one time process, Once you press authorized its clear lock from database and retrieve those setting back which you tick and other will clear for new configuration. Facing below authorization error while opening eZee Frontdesk

How to take manual database backup in eZee Frontdesk 7.0?

What is Database Backup?
Database backup is the process of backing up the stored data of software. It will back up of our data.

Location:
Click on right top 3 bullet points >> Database Backup

User Privilege:
eZee Front desk Configuration >> Configuration  >> Select User >> Edit >> Operational Privilege >> Database Back Up

How to access:
Please follow below steps to take database backup

Note:
Follow below steps to take database backup on  server machine only. Do not set path with Drive C:

Guideline & Check list to Transfer Sever machine one to another!!

Guideline & Check list to Transfer Sever machine one to another: 
Server transfer mean to say… Old server closing and Creating New Server and move all stuff to new server.
Before Server Transfer…
1) Make a list of all Integration running from Server.
2) Note down which FD version Hotel Using.
3) Note down which SQL version Hotel Using.
4) Copy exported report / guest images / database backup and keep it on safe path.
Take Action For Server Transfer…
Steps perform on Old Server….
1. Stop Operation on all Terminals
2. Stop WRD, WIRU, Auto backup utility or stop other important integrations
3. Take Database Backup.
4. Take Nextgen_Log database mdf / ldf backup.
5. Remove all integration (Or we develop new feature for disable all integration on old server machine).
6. Stop SQL Service, and make disable it.
7. Stop eZee Service
8. Take application folder back up as well so if any integration related file we need we can take from it. if any integration give us hard time to start it.
9. Rename WIRU/WRD file, because we are keeping auto start it
Steps perform on New Server…..
1. Install Ezee Nextgen on New Server
2. Upgrade Nextgen Version on New Server with Noted Version (if Full setup version is lower then noted FD version)
3. Restore Backup Database.
4. Restore Nextgen_Log database.
5. Enable / Start  all integrations.
6. Start Auto Backup.
7.  if you have set report export path / image path of old server then change it to new server in configuration.

Does eZee Absolute has a feature to maintain Guest Database? Or where do i find my guest database?

Yes! eZee Absolute does have a feature to manage Guest Database.

Guest Database: eZee Absolute kept all guest information in the Guest database. We can add guest information in the guest database manually as well as when we received an online booking and made a manual reservation in the system, the system saves that guest information in that Guest database.

From the guest database, we can take a record of the guest, If we export the database we can see all guest information in Excel sheet.

How to access: In order to access a guest database refer to the below video or the steps.

Location: Login to eZee absolute >> Click on Front Office tab >> Slect Guest Database.
