Selected Scanner is used by another application. – ID Scanner.

If we see the above message while clicking on the ID scanner button, we need to check if the Host file is not stuck.

1. It can be possible that the ID scanner Host file is running but, it might have been stuck. We can start the service from eZee folder or if it is placed on the Desktop.

2. Second, we can make sure that file does not get stuck again so we can enable .Net Framework setting from the control panel.

3. Once we enable the above settings, We can restart the Service again and check the same again. 

4. We can End the task service from the Task manager and re-run the service as an administrator.

The above solution should be able to resolve the concern with the given error. The client should be able to scan the ID or passport from eZee absolute software.
